A Look Back at 2019 - The Leo Loves // San Diego Family Photographer

Gratitude. It's where I started the year, and it's where I ultimately landed. There were bumps along the way, but as I look back I can clearly see that your joy and your love for your people was a source of fuel for my heart. It pushed me forward through tough times and it reminded me why I get up in the morning to keep showing up...for your families, for my family, and for myself. 

Every laugh, every snuggle, even every tear...I'm just so grateful that you invited me along to witness it. All of these small moments add up to a life, and your life matters...to me and to your families and to the collective human experience. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to show you how beautiful you are. I'm humbled, I'm inspired, and most importantly, I am a better human because of the time I got to spend with all of you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

100 Days of Summer on Film

A couple of years ago I took at least one photo a day on my 35mm film camera for the entire summer. I waited until September to get all of the rolls developed and the anticipation and surprise was something close to my 7 year old self getting a Care Bear (Cheer Bear!) on Christmas morning. It was THE BEST!! I’m not sure why I haven’t continued to do this every summer since then, but it doesn’t really matter does it? This summer I’m bringing it back and I am SO EXCITED! I’m not sure if I’ll be able to hold out on developing everything until September, but I definitely plan to shoot at least a photo a day. I can commit to that! Even if you aren’t a film shooter I hope you’ll think about joining me! It will be so fun to see what the Summer of 2019 looked like in 100 frames!!
